NORTHBAY BREWING COMPANIES CONTRACT WITH NAPA VALLEY DESIGN FIRM FOR MARKETING CREATIVE

NAPA, CA Humboldt Brewing Company of Arcata and Brothers Brewing Company of Oakland have selected Napa Valley design firm Huffman Communications (HC) to develop marketing creative for point of sale (POS), collateral materials, and upcoming consumer web assignments.

?Both Humboldt and Brothers are successful specialty beer brewing companies known nationally for their Ales and Lagers,? says Don J. Huffman, founder and creative director of HC. ?Along with their relationship to the (beer) industry, coincidentally, both companies are family-owned and operated.?

Known as the first African American premium beer brewer, Brothers Brewing Company has gained national recognition for their Honey Amber Ale. ?In taste tests we have scored repeatedly in the 90th percentiles,? says Michael LeBlanc, co-owner and founder. ?HC is taking the premium taste and essence of our company and bringing them to life in our communications materials.?

Humboldt Brewing Company produces small batch craft beers and is widely recognized for their Red Nectar Ale. Dedicated to strengthening the local economy in Humboldt County, Humboldt Brewing Company has rejected alliance offers by larger brewers. ?Supporting the community is important to us and we wanted to retain creative control over our products,? said Mario Celotta, President and founder of Humboldt Brewing Company and former linebacker for the Oakland Raiders.

The beer brewing industry is not a new arena for HC. Another client, Coors Brewing Company, has been with HC for three years. ?We designed a category management training program for Coors called D.A.R.T. (Delivering Accurate Retailer Targets),? says Huffman.
