NAPA, CA— A slice of the Napa valley art scene is now accessible on-line with the release of dinahcrossjames.com, a comprehensive Web site earmarked for exhibition of the artist’s nationally-recognized paintings.

Developed by HC Napa (Huffman Communications), the dinahcrossjames.com Web site showcase James’ abstract impressionistic pieces in regular and monumental proportions. “Now my national audience can view my latest releases,” says James. “They can walk into my studio on-line, right where they’re at, anytime of day, it’s great.” Along with thumbnail views of her work, the Web site allows full-screen visuals of her paintings.

Sprinkled throughout the U.S., James private collections are held in reputable businesses, institutions and museums, including Apple Computer in Portland, Seattle Art Museum, Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe, and Koll Company in San Jose. “Dinah’s work is beautiful,” claims Jan Young of Rossi-Young Interiors in St. Helena, who has commissioned James for Napa Valley scenes. “I like the strength and the diversity in her art, people who come in just love her paintings.”

Adding adventure to her work, James has traveled all over the world utilizing and combining imagery for composition. Exploits in her pictures include remnants from Egypt, Africa, India and the Turkish Lycian Coast. In a method indicative of her style, James has mixed the interior walls of Mt. Helens with the Inca architecture creating a style that has been accepted and appreciated. “My work is very personal and based on experiences that have been very important to me,” She says.
