E-Commerce Spurs Growth of North Bay Marketing and Design Agency Huffman Communications Drives 'Brick and Mortar' Businesses to the Internet.
NAPA, Calif. - With over 60 accounts to its credit in just over two years, Huffman Communications (HC) of Napa California is moving at the speed of telecommunications (DSLplus) to drive its clients into the future through e-marketing strategies that include Web site development, e-commerce, banner advertising and dynamic page design.
As a result of the success HC is having with its existing client base, the strategic marketing and design firm has added 17 new accounts to its portfolio in the past six months: All with e-marketing objectives. New clients include North Bay Bancorp, the parent company of The Vintage Bank and Solano Bank; De Credico & Associates, the West's largest independent grocery and food broker; Cunningham, Escott, Dipene (CED - LA, Chicago, New York), promoting national voice-over talent including Cheryl Chase, the voice of Angelica of the Rugrats, Tom Bosley, Paul Shaffer, Dr. Ruth and more; and WineryExchange.com, a new wine-industry business portal.
"We retained Huffman Communications because they provided us with a local source for not only our traditional marketing and communications needs, but also the technology-based applications that represent our future," said Mark Richmond, senior vice president/marketing for North Bay Bancorp. "This summer we will be introducing Internet Banking to our customers at The Vintage Bank and Solano Bank. Huffman Communications has created a look, feel and navigation logic for our three Web sites that will make it easy for our customers to utilize Internet Banking technology."
Don Huffman, founder of Huffman Communications, could not be happier about the direction his company is taking in the world of traditional design, Web development and e-commerce. "Today, established brick and mortar businesses need to feel confident about utilizing the Internet as a marketing tool and the investment they are making in putting their presence on the World Wide Web. This is particularly an issue when planning e-commerce strategies," said Don. "Knowing that we are not trying to change the traditional way they do business makes everyone feel more comfortable, and the results are much more adaptable to the business."
HC (www.huffmancom.com) attributes much of its newfound success to the strategic relationships formed in recent months. In an effort to provide customers with back-office automation such as accounting, communications, database and inventory management systems, HC has aligned with KLH Consulting (www.klhconsulting.com) in Santa Rosa and Forte Systems (www.forte-systems.com) of San Leandro. "The staff and organizational structure of each of these companies align perfectly with our core-competencies and clients' needs," said Huffman. "It's clearly a benefit when you have the ability to talk knowledgeably about integrating or building upon existing legacy systems and the Web."
Kempkey Risk Management Services of Napa, Calif. is a good example of how HC has helped a traditional brick and mortar business transition to the Web. Kempkey recently launched a new Web site (www.kempkey.com) that provides its customers direct access to training, newsletters and policy information in addition to general information about the company.
"We are extremely pleased by how quickly our customers responded to using our Web site," said Ed Kempkey, president of Kempkey Risk Management Services. "We've added interactivity to our site and elevated our position as a knowledgeable resource for risk management in northern California."
